Io is the leader of the Neverland Colony, an agricultural settlement whose sole purpose is to send food back to the dying planet Earth to prevent catastrophic starvation of the human race. Sky, Starla’s twin sister, is frightened by the rugged barbarian who claims her, throwing her over his shoulder to carry her off to his home among the trees. Unable to communicate with him, she endures countless painful lessons, as she tries to make sense of her new life, and to share what she has learned with her sisters.
Something is wrong with Starla’s pregnancy… with so many young women all expecting their first child around the same time, and no medical professionals other than one midwife and a healer, will she and her unborn survive? Will any of them?

A lack of communication between two people can cause so many misunderstandings that authors frequently use it as a plot devise. The Neverland series take this lack of communication to another level. The males don't speak a language understood by the females and they wrongly assume that their mates are willfully ignoring their telepathic instructions. Whilst initially frustrating for the reader, my struggle to understand the males attempts at speaking provided an ultimately satisfying empathy for all the characters Ms Knight has created and the situations they found themselves in. Looking back Im so glad that I stuck with the series as I found I was really cheering the couples on as they overcame language and cultural barriers and misunderstandings, not to mention the struggle for survival on a harsh planet. The Neverland world which Ms Knight has created is rich and the characters have more than sufficient depth to keep me interested, laughing and intrigued.I've read both of the books twice and thoroughly enjoyed them. They are a great mix of sci-fi, romantic fiction and dominant males of the caveman variety. Loved it and eagerly await more in the series.

This is a great sequel because you get to see old friends from Starla's Savage and see how their marrages are going. You also get more info on what the men went thru before the crash. There are still plenty of spankings scenes in this book and I really cant wait for the next one in the series.
One of this author's best - and I am waiting as patiently as possible...as patiently as *I* can...for the next instalment.
